Evan joined the NYCGHA in the fall of 2004 after reading an article about it in Chelsea Piers' newsletter. After subbing one game, he loved it so much he joined up full-time. While he is straight, Evan has no problems playing for the NYCGHA. "The guys (and girls) I have played with are some of the best people I have ever met. I have so much respect for them."

Evan began his hockey career playing roller hockey when he was ten, and never got to play organized hockey. During high school he was looking for a sport to keep him in shape outside of the soccer season. His coach suggested he go play for the hockey team. From the start, Evan played on the varsity team, but he insists that his linemates made him look better than he was. Off the ice he is extremely friendly, but on the ice Evan is a gritty, punishing, puck-moving defenseman that is known to blast hard shots from the point.

For the Fall 2009 season, Evan helped strengthen the Hotshots by recruiting his friend, William Spencer, to join him on the team. He sees this as not only making the Hotshots a better team, but also as a chance to increase off-ice support. "I am confident that with the addition of Bill, the Hotshots will now have a fan show up to a game."

Evan is also involved with many charities both local and national. When he is not on the ice, Evan can be found spending time at the beach... on the golf course! "I always wind up in the sand on the 17th hole of the course I play." Evan is an avid Rangers and Avalanche fan, as well as a die-hard Yankees fan.
