John has been a hockey player for a few years. He began playing on a beginner intramural team at MIT, then was happy to join the NYCGHA once he moved to New York City. In 2004 he met his partner Tom Jarvis while playing on the Hotshots. They've been together ever since.

In his life outside of hockey, John works in investment banking technology at BNP Paribas. His other interests include tennis, scrabble, and investing.
