Weight: 155 lbs., 70 kg

Date of Birth: July 11, 1976

Birth Place: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

NHL Team: Pittsburgh Penguins

Michael's skating career began early. He enrolled in skating classes in the first grade in his hometown outside of Pittsburgh, PA. As part of the class Michael was asked to participate in a show with the other skaters. What Michael did not know was that in the show they would dress him as a pink bunny and make him skate around the rink. This so traumatized young Michael that he did not put on ice skates again. Until college. The Cornell Big Red Hockey team inspired Michael so much that he was able to get past the Pink Bunny incident. At first he participated in open skates; then he enrolled in a hockey class. It was in this class that his friends Liv and Matt showed him how much fun playing hockey could be.

After school Michael moved to New York City. He continued taking classes in the Chelsea Piers skating school. His friend Kaleb told him about the Rockets team and encouraged him to join. Possibly one of the best decisions he ever made!

He played in Pittsburgh for two years encouraged by his friend Doug, little brother Mark, and a lot of Labatt's. Mike also played a little hockey in Seattle and in Charlotte over the past few years.

Michael recently moved back to NYC and is returning as happy hour coordinator to the Tigers. He can also be founding watching Penguins games at as many bars as he can and going to the tournaments. He's come a long way since the pink bunny!
