Well, being the only New Yorker in the entire Play LA tournament, I'd like to think I did our city proud.

My team out there won the GOLD MEDAL!

The team was awesome. I only ended up giving up four goals the entire tournament, including one shut out, and a lot of credit goes to our defense.

The Championship game was nerve racking. It went to overtime, and we were putting a lot of pressure on their team, but we couldn't get it past him. Then they had an opportunity when one of their two best shooters had the puck right on his stick in the slot, but I was able to get my blocker on it, and make the save. Then, we were finally able to get one past their goalie off a rebound, and we were champs! It was awesome! Of course, I really didn't have too much time to celebrate, since I had to catch my plane an hour after that, so I rushed out of there. Luckily, the arena is right near the airport.
