Joining the NYCGHA

In general, if you are interested in starting or returning to hockey, contact us and we will be happy to figure out where you can start with the NYCGHA. Here are some specific suggestions:

Sub in a game

A great way to meet our members and experience on-ice action is to join us for a game.

If you have prior hockey experience, depending on where we are in the season and on availability, you may be able to try out on one of our teams as an alternate. The alternate fee is $35 per game, the same price as a rostered player. Note that you must be a member of the NYCGHA and follow our Code of Conduct.

If you are a beginner, you can take Adult Hockey Prep courses through Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers to learn the basics before joining a team.
