NYCGHA

The recreational division is for teams with players at the intermediate to competitive skill level. This division will follow the team format which means that players may sign up to play on a particular team. Those players who are not affiliated with a particular team during registration will be assigned to a team based on the number of players who have registered and the balance of skill levels within the division.

Team captains can register their team to play in the recreational division and once it is registered members of the team can select it when they register for the recreational division. The captain will be able to individually approve the registration for each team member who has selected the team.

It is a goal of the NYCGHA to allow as many players as possible to play in the Chelsea Challenge. A team registration is considered full when 15 skaters and one goaltender have registered. Teams which do not have a full registration may be assigned players at the discretion of NYCGHA and are also subject to consolidation if fewer than ten players are registered. Every attempt will be made to balance the teams to help ensure a competitive tournament.

Registration for Chelsea Challenge 2008 is closed.
