The tournament is over.
Please join us next June for Chelsea Challenge 2012!

You may register as a player in the Developmental or the more advanced Recreational Divisions, or as a non-playing Guest.

Developmental Division

The developmental division is for players at the beginner to intermediate level. This division's format is "drop-in," meaning that players are assigned to teams by skill level. The Chelsea Challenge Committee will create even-strength teams from the pool of registered players.

The developmental division is FULL. We will add newly registered players to a waiting list

Recreational Divisions

The recreational divisions are for players at the intermediate to competitive level. This division uses the team format, meaning that players register as part of a particular team. Those players who do not choose a team during registration, so-called "free agents", will be assigned to a team based on the number of registered players and the balance of skill levels within the division.

Team sizes

It is a goal of the NYCGHA to allow as many players as possible to play in the Chelsea Challenge. A team registration is considered full when 15 skaters and one goaltender have registered. Teams that do not have a full registration may be assigned players at the discretion of NYCGHA's Chelsea Challenge Committee and are also subject to consolidation if fewer than ten players are registered. Every attempt will be made to balance the teams to ensure a competitive tournament.
