SF Goaldiggers Documentary

Hi Jeff,

My name is Sean, and I play for the San Francisco Goaldiggers (a primarily gay hockey team in San Francisco that's been around for over a year now). I emailed you earlier last year about a documentary I was working on with the Goaldiggers as they were forming and playing their first games.

I wanted to let you and the NYCGHA know about an original song I wrote that was featured yesterday on the Puck Daddy national NHL blog on Yahoo! Sports. I've left the link below to the blog entry as well as the final version of my song on YouTube. We will be doing a music video featuring the Goaldiggers in one of their games sometime in the next month/two. Hope you all like it!

Gay/Gay-Friendly Lacrosse Team Forming

Bored with the gym? Miss the intensity of the playing field? The fast paced action of competitive sports? Have we got great news for you!

A new men's lacrosse league has begun in New York and it presents a great opportunity for us to finally put together a gay-friendly lacrosse team.

University Lacrosse (http://www.ulax.org) provides an organized setting, full field facilities, weekly games, and a championship tournament following the regular season. We're hoping to field a full team of 25-30 guys of any skill level for the upcoming Fall season. Registration starts in September so we need to get a move on!

Coors Cup Los Angeles Tournament Info

The Los Angeles Blades / Colorado Climax CoorsCup Charity Ice Hockey Tournament will be held from Friday evening August 29- Monday afternoon, September 1, Labor Day Weekend at the Toyota Sports Center (home of the LA Kings training and practice center) in El Segundo, CA (1 mile from LAX Airport).
Air travel with American Airlines, utilizing CoorsCup special codes, 5% off all airfares via Internet or phone reservations (no fee). Also, discounted hotels and requests for hosted housing are listed on the tourney website link below.

We will be opening with VIP Guest List at LA's superclub, Club Tigerheat at the Avalon in Hollywood on Thursday Night, August 28. The guest list will be good for admittance until 1:30AM, allows access to all three floors, the Club is open to 3AM, 18+, usually over 1,500 attendees each Thursday night. www.clubtigerheat.com

Tournament games begin on Friday evening August 29 and will consist of four divisions, four game minimum, and division championship games. Also included is a gift bag, a weekend of banquets, social activities, cocktail parties, pool party / BBQ, Argentinean dinner (optional) and all the fun, sun and excitement that a holiday weekend in Los Angeles / West Hollywood can offer.
The Tourney will be concluding on Monday Sept 1, with the Division Championship games followed by Pool Party / BBQ on Monday afternoon-evening at Doug and Dwight's in Van Nuys.

My name is Lauren Kurnit and I am on the casting team for a new Food Network
show involving hopeless home cooks. I thought that this opportunity might
be something your league could be interested in and therefore wanted to pass

Essentially, we are looking for the worst cooks in America; people who have
a great desire to learn but just can�t seem to get it right. Perhaps a

Out of Bounds Sea Tea Board Cruise! 8/3/08

Out of Bounds, the nonprofit organization supporting LGBT Sports and Recreation groups in the greater New York area is hosting an evening out on the Queen of Hearts (also known as the Sea Tea Gay Sailing Party Cruise!) on Sunday, August 3rd. We are asking that you not only forward this invitation to your members, but talk up the event with some people and try to get a contingent to come aboard!

We hope to make this the most exciting and thrilling event on a boat!

We are selling $20 tickets for this event as a fundraiser; money raised will support our mission of assisting with the formation of new LGBT sports teams and providing grants for existing teams.
